English Heritage
During 2012 ICR has been assisting English Heritage in reorganising their architectural archive.
ICR has designed, manufactured and loaded specialist bespoke heavy duty packing crates as part of a major relocation of many large architectural archive items and historic fabric.
Each packing crate was built to British Standard and individually designed to accommodate each specialist load. Each crate was lined with a tailored made plastazote interface fitted to protect the artefacts during transit as well as providing a long-term collection care solution during storage.
An integral strand of the crate design needed to provide simple targeted access solutions to support research, data recording and specialist access whilst in storage.
As part of the commission ICR also completed the haulage and unloading project.
Many of the larger elements required heavy duty fabricated transit trollies individually designed to add support and ease of movement.
