This project was awarded The Pilgrim's Trust Award for Conservation and The Institution of Mechanical Engineers Engineering Heritage Award.

Ian Clark Restoration also fabricated a replica bronze conning tower ladder based on archival drawings

The bronze helm wheel casting was moulded from a surviving A Class example which was used on both classes
