RNSM X24 Midget Submarine

Condition survey for Heritage Lottery Fund bid. Main contractor responsible for the practical conservation contract.

X24 was built by Marshalls of Gainsborough in 1943. She had a surface endurance of 1860 nautical miles at 4.5 knots and a submerged range of 82 nautical miles at 2 knots. The submarine took part in WW2 operations "Guidance" and "Heckle".
